SocialCredit

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SocialCredit LLC ("SocialCredit," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use socialcreditapp.com and related services (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a username you choose, and your password (handled through our authentication provider and not stored by SocialCredit in plaintext).

Review content. When you submit a review, we collect everything you enter, including your star rating, headline, review text, and any tags you select. For Verified Buyer reviews, we also collect the purchase details you provide, such as the product name and type, amount paid, pricing structure, billing periods, purchase date, upsell experiences, reported outcomes, and chargeback history.

Proof of purchase and evidence files. For Verified Buyer reviews, we collect the proof-of-purchase file you upload (such as a receipt or order confirmation screenshot) and any additional evidence files you choose to attach. These files are stored in access-controlled storage and are used for verification and moderation. They are never displayed publicly. When submitting proof of purchase or evidence, redact information that is not necessary to verify the transaction, such as full payment card numbers, bank account numbers, home addresses, or other people's personal information. SocialCredit may redact or delete unnecessary sensitive information from submitted files.

Automatically collected information. When you submit a review, we automatically record your IP address, browser user-agent string, and how long the submission took to complete. We collect this to detect fraud, spam, and coordinated fake-review activity. Our hosting infrastructure also generates standard server request logs, which include IP addresses.

Creator suggestions and reports. If you suggest a creator for the platform or report content, we collect what you submit.

Cookies. We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in (authentication session cookies). We do not use advertising, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not currently run any third-party analytics or tracking scripts. We use privacy-friendly analytics provided by our hosting infrastructure that collect aggregated usage data such as page views and referrers, without cookies or cross-site tracking.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate the Service: publishing and displaying reviews, verifying purchases, generating aggregate ratings and the SocialCredit Score, moderating content, and maintaining platform integrity. We use IP addresses, user-agent data, and submission patterns to detect and prevent fraudulent or manipulated reviews. We use your email address for account functions such as email confirmation and password resets, and to send important notices about the Service or your account. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

3. What Is Displayed Publicly

Published reviews are public. This includes your review text, rating, tags, and, for Verified Buyer reviews, purchase details you provided such as the product name and type and the amount paid. Your username is displayed with your review unless you choose to post anonymously, in which case your username is hidden from public view; we retain the internal link between your account and your review for moderation and fraud-prevention purposes. Proof-of-purchase and evidence files are never displayed publicly.

Please write reviews with the understanding that they are public. Do not include personal information you do not want visible, whether your own or anyone else's.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

Service providers. We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Service, and your data passes through or is stored with them as needed: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (application hosting, which generates standard request logs), and Resend (delivery of account emails such as confirmations and password resets). These providers process data on our behalf to run the Service.

Aggregated and de-identified data. We may create and share aggregated or de-identified insights derived from platform activity, such as industry statistics or trend reports, that do not identify you personally.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of SocialCredit, our users, or the public, including investigating fraud or abuse.

Business transfers. If SocialCredit is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy's protections.

5. Data Retention

We retain different categories of information for different periods depending on the purpose, including account administration, fraud prevention, moderation, dispute resolution, security, and compliance with legal obligations. We retain account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your published reviews may remain on the Service in anonymized form, disassociated from your public profile, to preserve the integrity of the review record. We retain proof-of-purchase files, moderation records, and fraud-prevention data (such as IP addresses associated with submissions) for as long as reasonably necessary to protect the platform against fraud, abuse, and legal claims.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access-controlled storage. Proof-of-purchase files are stored in access-controlled storage that is not publicly readable. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will take appropriate action if we become aware of a breach affecting your information.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can update your username and password from your account settings. You may post reviews anonymously at the time of submission. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing team@socialcreditapp.com. We will honor verified requests, subject to the retention practices described in Section 5, including the anonymized retention of published reviews and the retention of fraud-prevention records where reasonably necessary.

8. Information About Creators

SocialCredit compiles public profiles of creators for consumer-review purposes. Creator profile information, such as names, brand names, public social media handles, offerings, and publicly reported information, is compiled from publicly available sources, and creators do not need an account for a profile to exist. Reviews and ratings associated with a creator are content submitted by users. A creator who believes factual profile information is inaccurate may contact us at team@socialcreditapp.com.

9. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and no part of the Service is directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at team@socialcreditapp.com.

10. Do Not Track

We do not track users across third-party websites, so we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.

11. International Users

SocialCredit is operated from the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify users, such as a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If we add new data practices in the future, such as analytics or payment processing, we will update this policy before or at the time those practices begin.
